Im the newcomer Gen here!
Would like to share with you this!
(can a forum be set up on maranatha's website?)
i found out that most of yr resources on cults and occultism infiltrating the church targets the church themself..
recently, i found out the source and sole source it came from
from the testimony of Christopher Kollyns - christopherkollyns.blogspot.com
and a friend - http://holyspiritvictorious4ever.blogspot.com/2007/12/golden-ratio-phi-1618-exposes-order-of.html
Ive went to The Mrmn Church and visit the Freemasons Lodge in SINGAPORE (yes there is)
Just a suggestion to target and help the leaders of the society - the source instead .
Cheers!
Gen!

The golf balls are the important things - God, family, children, health, friends, and favorite passions
When things in your life seem, Almost too much to handle,
When 24 Hours in a day is not enough,
Remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee.
A professor stood before his philosophy class
And had some items in front of him.
When the class began, wordlessly,
He picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar
And proceeded to fill it with golf balls.
He then asked the students, if the jar was full.
They agreed that it was.
The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured
them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly.
The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls.
He then asked the students again
If the jar was full... They agreed it was.
The professor next picked up a box of sand
And poured it into the jar.. Of course, the sand filled up everything else.
He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded
With an unanimous 'yes.'
The professor then produced Two cups of coffee from under the table
And poured the entire contents Into the jar, effectively
Filling the empty space between the sand.
The students laughed.
'Now,' said the professor, As the laughter subsided,
'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life..
The golf balls are the important things - God, family,
children, health, friends, and favorite passions –
Things that if everything else was lost
And only they remained, your life would still be full.
The pebbles are the other things that matter Like your job, house, and car.
The sand is everything else --
The small stuff.
'If you put the sand into the jar first,' He continued,
'there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.
The same goes for life..
If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff,
You will never have room for the things that are
Important to you.
So...
Pay attention to the things That are critical to your happiness.
Play with your children.
Take time to get medical checkups.
Take your partner out to dinner.
There will always be time
To clean the house and fix the disposal.
'Take care of the golf balls first --
The things that really matter.
Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.'
One of the students raised her hand
And inquired what the coffee represented.
The professor smiled.
'I'm glad you asked'.
It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem,
there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.'
Please share this with other "Golf Balls"
I just did......

Being Different
I just know something yesterday, apart from Christ we can do nothing.
We indulge ourselves in worldly pleasures, throughout the week etc, and all was good and pleasing to us when we finally reach a stop point on the last brink of fleshy-overindulgence.
It was the Clean and Green Week 2009 30 Oct 09 - 1 Nov 09 at HortPark. I was at Queenstown, there were skin care vouchers of $50 to be won, there were free ez link cards to be gotten, there were a dragon queue of people queueing up for a lucky DRAWl for a free Mitsubishi Aircondition and Fridges.
All around me was clambering to get prizes.
I can feel they are hungry for things in their lives. Better things, more money, better facilities etc.
Not saying this is not allowed man!
These are all good having good things.
I was stinking badly in my shirt, and I saw that Jack n Rai, the band members performing we sweating in the sweltering heat because they were just merely tents and booths with lots of games in it. It's a good way to attract people here. With all the offers that it has. Sucked me in too.
And when I reached there at 2pm, (the first thing I did in the morning) I lazed around till about 4.40pm. And the event was still ongoing strong with throngs of crowd trying to get their chance till 9pm. My thoughts were okay at that period of time. And I felt I need to go for service, or church, I want to hear Jesus being preached! I want to know more about JP ministries and listen, know more.
So I left the hustle and bustle, but when I look at the aunties, the store tenters, I feel for them, did they fulfill their hunger on this Sunday morning? Where the whole of the 6 days we eat, sleep, forget about God, eat too much, sleep too much, ignored the good things of life too much, ANND on the 7th day, eat, sleep, forget about God, eat too much, sleep too much, ignored the best thing in your life. Hmmm. So therefore this ministry I want to set up is the
Bridging Ministry
Sorry if my thoughts are pretty here and there, I must say I cannot escape being a random person. As said, when it was 4.40, my thoughts was okay, but when after I went to service and missed the draw at 8pm, my thoughts were whirling. Right, you don't understand what I mean now right? It's move on and get the big picture.
Bridging Ministry because as said, I see these people spending their days on a sunday morning here at a Park, ANND then a sermon or message is given somewhere else in Singapore, and for example, a Presbyterian Church can be having a elder sermon and it ends at 11.30am, while another event is happening at a Megachurch preaching about Jesus and living life.
I see that after the Presbyterian/Baptist/Methodist/etc ends their service, they would hand around in the period of 3 - 5pm, and for me, my family just went home. And after a morning we sit and wonder what's going on on the other side of the country.
Here I am knowing what's on, there are good sermons being preached in some megachurch but some other churches may be doing some others things, but we are just waiting when they are Free. Not doing anything.
With this we can see a divide in resources, sharing of ideas, coming together in the segregation of Christian communities and most importantly, the deprivation of a good sermon about God that one church is preaching, and another good Bible study that the church with good sermon lacks.
I see I can bridge the gap and be that agent of change that has always been missing out on things which are REALLY beneficial for you.
The aircondition, fridge, and the "tahan-ness" in the heat to get prizes is GOOD. To live a better life. But the BEST thing in life is JESUS. And all people needs to know that, and I want to reach out to them. Just like you may be ignorant of some thing, you'll appreciate when some one tells you that's something good for you out there and you can do something good for them.
I am an explorer, I do things differently and even conventional people cannot take it sometimes. I venture out into different territories and things that people do not dare to take the grr First Step. I take.
And in the meantime of doing that, I discover some things in this world and in my life and understand people's lives better, I am living for the purpose of my life.
And though those ignorant people would look at me in laughing eyes that I do stuff that 'normal' people don't usually do. Well, 'normal' is a a boundary. A slim woman is normally beautiful in Singapore, but a fat woman is perfectly longed after as beautiful in Africa. Because. They don't have much food to eat.
Let me tell you my true story. When I was discovering all the new stuff about church, already, my mind was telling me "Go out to the ends of the world and Tell them these stuff! Things are happening on this side of the earth, and the other side of the world just waits to rot!" Hmm. cld get deeper into my life to understand me better.
Okay, my mind was telling me that. But I am going to be the first crazy woman to be preaching about cults, John Todd, music and on the Bible-Ministries denomination, HOW AM I GONNA START?!. Start a website? Hm, still a struggling student. Need monthly cash. Do this and that? That that this this from other people. Opposition? A Poem?
So this is what I did. I brought people WITH me to the new ends of the world. The experience. The sight. Things that conservative churches wouldn't see themselves, some saw, they understand. Some things that the affluent charismatics wouldn't see in small, uninflencing Bible churches, they saw the Bible that they need to know about.
Sigh. The long drawl of life when you don't see results if you help Bridging. But, every small little ripples counts! I am rippling the Christian community. Know more about the Word of God. and Worship the Lord in New Songs! The Bridging of the Gap between the utmost good-in-worship Charasmatics and the Really-Good-Hope-You-Can-Realise Conservative-Traditional Churches. Or they believe in the fundementals.
okay, add ons
My life has taught me to accept who I am. To be different is perfectly normal. It is an avenue to express myself and voice my emotions and opinions easily where previously you don't have to be constraints by what people calls or what Society calls 'normal'.
We are the Lord's Servant that move forward with God's Plan and Direction. We share great joy, love and hope to the people around the World as God love the people so much. Praise the Lord!
